YOUR JOURNEY
You don't have to figure this out alone.
Maybe you’re thinking about a psychedelic experience. Maybe you’ve already had one—and now you’re trying to understand what it means for your life. Or maybe something is changing, and you need space to hear yourself more clearly. Here you’ll find practical guides, thoughtful questions, and a way to explore working with me.

Start where you are.

I'm thinking about an experience.

You may feel curious, hopeful, uncertain, or all three. Before choosing a medicine, ceremony, or retreat, give yourself room to consider your intentions, readiness, support, and the questions you still need answered. Explore READY.

I'm trying to make a thoughtful choice.

Different experiences involve different settings, expectations, and responsibilities. Slow down and examine what you’re looking for, what is being offered, and what deserves a closer look. EXPLORE CHOOSE.

I've had an experience. Now what?

Something may have opened, shifted, or become harder to understand. Integration offers space to explore what happened, how you are doing now, and what you want to bring into everyday life. EXPLORE INTEGRATE.

BEFORE YOU GO ANY FURTHER
Before You Say Yes.

Thinking about an experience? Before choosing a medicine, booking a retreat, or saying yes to a ceremony, there are questions worth asking.

Start with ten of them.

A meaningful experience is the beginning.

An experience can feel profound. Living differently afterward asks something more.

It asks how you relate to yourself. How you care for your body. How you navigate love, grief, recovery, sexuality, spirituality, and the ordinary responsibilities waiting when the experience is over.

My work makes room for those questions—and for the possibility that the most useful next step may be to pause, get more support, or choose another path.

Practical Guides for Important Decisions

JOURNEY GUIDES are short, interactive digital resources for people exploring psychedelic experiences and the decisions around them. They offer a place to slow down, reflect, and bring clearer questions into conversations with the people supporting you.

Sometimes you need a conversation.

A guide can help you organize your questions. A conversation can help you explore what those questions mean in your life.

You’re welcome to inquire about individual sessions focused on psychedelic preparation and integration, recovery, relationships and sexuality, spirituality, or a significant life transition.

We begin by discussing what you’re looking for, where you’re located, and whether my services are a good fit. The type of service, availability, fees, and next steps are clarified before scheduling.

Meet Christopher

Christopher Shaw, LCSW-S CSAT-S RYT

I know this territory from both sides of the experience. I’m a psychotherapist, clinical educator & supervisor, and psychedelic medicine practitioner with more than 18 years of clinical experience. I’ve facilitated over 100 sacred medicine ceremonies. I’ve also been the person entering an experience with hope, questions, and things I was still learning how to face.

My own life has been shaped by addiction and recovery, trauma, love, loss, relationships, spiritual practice, and psychedelic experiences. This work is personal to me. I know how deeply we can want something to change—and how much care it takes to bring that change into our lives.

Through my work and my own journey, I’ve learned that a profound experience doesn’t automatically become a transformed life. What comes before matters. What happens afterward matters. And having someone you can speak honestly with can make a difference.

Whether you’re considering your first experience or trying to understand something you’ve already lived through, you don’t need to arrive with the right language or a clear answer. You can bring your curiosity, your uncertainty, your hope, or the part you haven’t quite known how to tell anyone. We can begin there.
